In 2022, health is a top concern for most Georgians.
While advances in healthcare are helping many live healthier lives than ever before, research also points to an increase in chronic conditions and diseases such as cancer, arthritis and diabetes and across Georgia people living with diabetes are experiencing barriers to accessing quality healthcare.
At MelanatedPEARL.org, we’re on a mission to educate, uplift, and empower by focusing on the impact of diabetes in our community. There are more than 34 million people in the U.S. who have diabetes—that’s 10 percent of the population.
So if you don’t have the disease, you certainly know someone who does.
Managing diabetes can be difficult, but there are ways you can help or offer support to someone who needs it.

The Melanated Pearl Corporation is proud to launch our Better Health Initiative entitled HEARTwork to support more equitable health outcomes for those caring for loved ones and or living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

• The HEARTwork Better Health DIABETES Initiative seeks to increase investment in research, technology and innovative solutions that improve access for those living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. At MelanatedPEARL.org this is defined as "meaningful activities that impact systems" - Launching FY5 October 2022-September 2023

Melanated Pearl Corporation is a 501c3 non profit organization located in Hampton, Ga a subsection of Clayton County established in November 2018.


PEARL is an acronym meaning Passionate Engaged Activists, Resisting Limitations and we speak to our audiences passions, engage them, give them a call to action and show them how to resist the idea that they are limited in any way.


Melanated Pearl Corporation plays a vital role in building a healthy community by providing critical services that contribute to economic stability and mobility of women. Our organization targets services for Black Women in the Metro Atlanta area. Our mission is to empower, educate and uplift Black Women.
