At Melanated PEARL Inc, community engagement is at the heart of everything we do. Recently, our founder and CEO, along with our CFO, had the privilege of participating in a transformative community dialogue hosted by the Forest Park Planning Group in partnership with the Hands, Heart, & Soul Project. This dialogue focused on creating a positive impact in Forest Park, GA, and we were honored to be a part of it. One of the core values of Melanated PEARL Inc is to empower individuals by amplifying their voices and sharing their lived experiences. We believe that these stories are powerful tools that can shape programs and drive strategic initiatives. By actively participating in community-based planning initiatives like the one organized by the Forest Park Planning Group, we are able to directly engage with the community, listen to their needs, and work together to create positive change. Through our involvement in this dialogue, we were able to gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the Forest Park community. The founder, Crystal Perry, a native of Columbus, GA, is returning to her roots after 30 years since transitioning to the Metro Atlanta area in 1994 during high school. Melanated PEARL Inc's serves its mission by providing pathways to housing stability, economic access, and financial literacy. Additionally, the organization distributes essential items to unhoused citizens (clothing, shoes, & hygiene kits) .
