Crystal Perry
​Founder

Crystal Perry is the Founder and Executive Director of Melanated Pearl Corporation, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families, empowering communities, and advancing culturally responsive education. With a background in education and community leadership, Crystal is passionate about creating spaces where parents, youth, and educators can thrive through advocacy, mentorship, and innovative programming.
Through initiatives such as Project PRESENT: Building Resilient Families, she works to equip families with practical tools, resources, and support systems that foster resilience and long-term success. Crystal is also a committed advocate for equitable educational opportunities and community collaboration, believing that when families are empowered, communities flourish.
Her leadership is rooted in service, cultural pride, and the belief that sustainable change begins with informed, supported, and connected families.

Tammie Bradberry
​FY2025-2026 Board Chair - Member

Tammie Strickland serves as the 2025–2026 Board Chair for Melanated Pearl Corporation. A dedicated advocate for community empowerment and family engagement, Tammie joined the Board of Directors in 2023 and has been an active leader in supporting the organization’s mission to strengthen families and uplift communities.
As Board Chair, Tammie provides strategic leadership and governance oversight while working closely with board members and organizational leadership to advance Melanated Pearl’s programs and partnerships. Her commitment to service, collaboration, and community impact helps guide the organization’s continued growth and its work to support resilient families and thriving communities.

Craig Perry-CFO
​Board Member

Craig Perry serves as the Chief Financial Officer and active Treasurer of Melanated Pearl Corporation, where he supports the organization’s mission by ensuring strong financial stewardship, transparency, and sustainability. With a commitment to community empowerment and family-centered initiatives, Craig works behind the scenes to help guide the organization’s financial strategy and operational stability.
As the husband of founder Crystal Perry, Craig is a dedicated partner in advancing Melanated Pearl’s vision of strengthening families and uplifting communities. His leadership reflects a deep belief in service, accountability, and the power of collective impact to create lasting change.

Kiana Cosby
​Board Member 

Kiana Cosby has served as Board Secretary for Melanated Pearl Corporation since 2018, bringing years of dedicated service, leadership, and unwavering support to the organization. A committed volunteer and community advocate, Kiana has played an integral role in helping guide the organization’s growth while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and the preservation of institutional knowledge.
Beyond her leadership on the board, Kiana and her family have generously supported the mission of Melanated Pearl by financially sponsoring events, adopting families over the years, and actively volunteering. Her children have also participated as volunteers, reflecting a family-wide commitment to service and community impact.
With a strong business acumen and strategic mindset, Kiana helps the organization maintain clear records and historical continuity while supporting thoughtful transitions and organizational pivots. Her dedication to stewardship, service, and community engagement continues to strengthen the foundation and legacy of Melanated Pearl.
