The Mother of P.E.A.R.L. Housing Initiative and Eviction Prevention Program: offers financial support to assist displaced women or families facing eviction secure safe and affordable housing. With the help of volunteers, Melanated PEARL Corporation will work with women and families to provide financial assistance that will serve to bridge a short-term economic shortfall in rent, utility, and/or security deposit payments at no cost to the participants.
Hampton, Ga. — February 15, 2022 — Melanated Pearl Corporation announced today that founder and president Crystal Perry has been named a Best Humanitarian Action & Services Leader of the Year in the Inaugural Anthem Awards. Perry will be honored in recognition of her work in eviction prevention in Clayton County. As Americans have sought pandemic relief over the last two years, Melanated PEARL offered more than $50,000 in rental assistance to 36 families through its Mother of PEARL Transitional Housing and Eviction Prevention Program. “It is our distinct honor to recognize the work that brands, organizations, and individuals are all making to create an impact in their community,” said Jessica Lauretti, Managing Director, The Anthem Awards. “We launched this platform to show the world that all corners of our culture, from sports and entertainment to business leaders and celebrities, are all standing up to say, it is time for systemic change and that social good is what we value as a society.” Anthem winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. Winners for the inaugural Anthem Awards will be celebrated at the first annual Anthem Voices conference followed by a star-studded virtual Awards Show on Monday, February 28, 2022.
