The HEARTwork Better Health DIABETES Initiative launched with the understanding that people in Georgia are not confident about their health, and therefore they can’t be confident about their future.
We’re on a mission to educate, uplift, and empower by creating hot showers for those without daily access to water. Our Summer Showers program aims to change the stigma around the issue of the unhoused and homelessness, and bring the experiences out of the shadows. When you help provide showers for those in need, you’re helping restore dignity, confidence, and opportunity. Each guest receives shampoo, soap, hygiene kit, a towel, and 15 minutes of privacy. The most important part of mobile hygiene is not simply giving guests a shower–it is the way the unhoused guests are treated.
The Mother of P.E.A.R.L. Housing Initiative and Eviction Prevention Program: offers financial support to assist displaced women or families facing eviction secure safe and affordable housing. With the help of volunteers, Melanated PEARL Corporation will work with women and families to provide financial assistance that will serve to bridge a short-term economic shortfall in rent, utility, and/or security deposit payments at no cost to the participants.

PURPOSE: Too many organizations in the South Metro Atlanta / Southern Crescent, many with similar missions, are working and seeking funding in isolation from one another.
The Oyster Shell CCCII seeks to address negative economic impacts in the Southern Crescent caused by the public health emergency by implementing a Collaborative Community Collective Impact Initiative. Collective impact describes an intentional way of working together and sharing information for the purpose of solving a complex problem.
By launching this nonprofit we are purposefully creating a digital community. We can introduce you to more people and unlock valuable collaborations and exclusive content, specifically related to the needs of Black women. At Melanated Pearl Corporation personal and professional development and financial literacy for Black women, is about much more than simply gathering and sharing the tools; it’s about connecting with our community, understanding how to serve as leaders, and empower the next generation of diverse stakeholders.
